Eligibility: Entries are welcome from Members of Cirencester Chamber of Commerce.
Businesses located within the GL7 postcode area.
Entry Fees: Entry is free for Chamber members, provided membership is valid on the night of the awards presentation.
Non-members are required to pay £10 per category entered.
Entry Rules: Previous entrants are encouraged to apply.
However, winners of a category in 2024 are not eligible to enter the same category in 2025.
Maximum Categories:
Businesses may enter a maximum of two categories.
Confidentiality: The information you provide will be treated in confidence and will not be disclosed to the media without your permission.
Award Categories: We reserve the right to remove an award category at any time. If this occurs, you will be notified, and any entry fee paid will be refunded.
Submission Process: Deadline: Sunday 4th May 2025
All applications must be submitted by email to awards@cirencesterchamber.org.uk no later than Sunday 4th May 2025.
Supporting Materials: A maximum of 2 x A4 pages of supporting materials may be included with your official entry form.
Examples of supporting materials
• Promotional material.
• Feedback forms or testimonials.
• Screen prints from satisfaction websites.
• Letters of recommendation.
• Links to webpages or other digital documents are accepted only in the Visual Evidence section of specific entries.
Building a Strong Entry: Each award entry includes a Checklist for Entrants, offering tailored tips for creating a compelling submission.  Additional advice on how best to tell your story was provided by Kopykat Marketing at the Awards Launch and can be found here.
Important: Entries that lack quantitative information (e.g., measurable results, data, or specific examples) are unlikely to perform well with judges
Judging Criteria:
Independent Judging: Our panel consists of independent, external judges to ensure impartiality.
Judges Will Not
• Consider any part of an entry exceeding the word limit.
• Review supporting materials exceeding the specified 2 x A4 pages.
Shortlisted Entries: Finalists will be announced Telling Your Story at our June business community event.
Winners will be revealed at the awards presentation on Friday 4th July 2025.
Business of the Year Award: All category winners will automatically be entered into the Cirencester Business of the Year category. The judges will use a separate judging criteria for this category.
Examples of Entry Content: Each entry form includes a ‘Checklist for Entrants’ to guide you. Ensure that your answers address all the criteria listed for your category to create a compelling and well-rounded application.
